Terms of Service
These terms apply when you ask KeyFast Locksmiths Ltd, trading as KeyFast Auto Locksmith, to attend your vehicle, cut or code a key, or carry out any other locksmith work.

1. About us
KeyFast Locksmiths Ltd, Company no. 17429570 (England & Wales), registered office Flat 4, 50 Lady Hamilton Court, Barnstaple Road, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 3QH, United Kingdom. Phone 07494 751228, email info@keyfastautolocksmiths.co.uk. We are a mobile service and do not trade from a shop.
2. Quotes and agreeing the work
We give you a price on the phone or in writing before we set off, based on the vehicle, key type and location you describe. That price stands for the work described. If the vehicle or key turns out to be different from what was described, we stop, tell you the revised price and wait for your agreement before continuing.
3. Proof of ownership
We only work on a vehicle for the person entitled to it. Before we open a vehicle or produce a key you must show identification and evidence of your entitlement, such as a V5C, insurance certificate, hire or lease agreement, or a company letter for fleet vehicles. If you cannot provide it, we will not carry out the work.
4. Arrival times
Any arrival or completion time we give is an estimate made in good faith. Traffic, weather and emergency jobs already in progress can affect it. We keep you updated and you can cancel free of charge if a delay no longer suits you.
5. Bookings, changes and cancellations
- A booking made through this site is a request. It is confirmed once we contact you or send a confirmation message.
- You can move or cancel a booking free of charge by calling or messaging us before we set off.
- If we have already travelled to you and you cancel, or nobody is present with the vehicle, we may charge for the attendance at the rate quoted.
- We may decline or cancel a job where the work is unsafe, unlawful, or where entitlement cannot be shown.
6. Consumer cancellation rights
Where you are a consumer and the contract is made at a distance or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to start urgent work within that period, for example an emergency lockout, you can still cancel but you must pay for the work already done. Tell us in writing at info@keyfastautolocksmiths.co.uk to cancel.
7. How we work on your vehicle
Entry is non-destructive wherever it can be. If the only remaining option would damage a lock or component, we explain it and get your agreement first. Keys we cut, code and fit are tested with you on site before we leave.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, wear, or damage that already existed, including worn locks, faulty ignitions, weak batteries or previously fitted aftermarket parts.
8. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we agree otherwise in writing. Business accounts settle on the terms stated on the invoice.
9. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses such as loss of profit, contracts or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
10. Complaints
If something is not right, call 07494 751228 or email info@keyfastautolocksmiths.co.uk. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
11. Dispute resolution and ADR
If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you have the right to refer the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. We are not currently registered with an ADR provider, but you may still use one independently. For motor industry disputes, The Motor Ombudsman is a certified ADR provider approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute, and you can find information at www.themotorombudsman.org. You can also seek advice from Citizens Advice at www.citizensadvice.org.uk. Using ADR does not affect your right to take legal action.
12. Your data and cookies
How we handle your details is set out in our privacy policy and cookie notice.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts.
